A company standard is the basis for declaring product quality, stating the standard number on the label and controlling production. 7S Law works with the company to develop the standard, drafts the decision declaring its application and handles notification under the new rules.

9. Frequently asked questions
a) Must company standards be registered with the state?
The company develops and declares the standard itself. Under the new rules, certain cases require notification on the national database; 7S Law identifies this obligation for each product.
b) How does a company standard differ from a conformity declaration?
A company standard sets the technical requirements chosen by the company. A conformity declaration confirms that a product meets a mandatory technical regulation. A company standard may not be lower than the regulation applicable to the product.
c) Must the standard number appear on the label?
Many goods must state the applicable standard on the label under labelling rules. 7S Law advises on the correct wording.
d) Must the standard be revised when the product changes?
Yes. Changes to ingredients, quality parameters or specifications require the company to amend and re-declare the standard.
